If I Stay: the trailer's here!!

The trailer just came out and it couldn't have been better! I've watch it at least 10 times and I've cried every.single.time. I loved the book (the synopsis is on the end of this post) , it was simply beautiful and it is one of my favourite reads so far. This theme and Mia's situation just get's me everytime and the trailer was so emotional and the scenes are all so well combined it's just perfect.
I think the cast they've chosen is amazing! Chloë Grace Moretz is my absolutely girl crush I don't even know, there's just something about this girl that makes me love every movie that she's in. And then we have the lovely Jamie Blackley who plays Adam, and this trailer just made me love him even more, he was so great and he fits Adam's character perfectly from what I've seen so far.

I mean, look at this. Just look

And then there's also Mireille Enos ( you may know her from World War Z ) and the gorgeous Liana Liberato from Stuck In Love.
Amazing cast, right?

So far it seems that they did and amazing job with this and I can't wait for the movie!! 5 more months xx

Book synopsis:

Just listen, Adam says with a voice that sounds like shrapnel.

I open my eyes wide now.
I sit up as much as I can.
And I listen.

Stay, he says.

Choices. Seventeen-year-old Mia is faced with some tough ones: Stay true to her first love—music—even if it means losing her boyfriend and leaving her family and friends behind?

Then one February morning Mia goes for a drive with her family, and in an instant, everything changes. Suddenly, all the choices are gone, except one. And it's the only one that matters.

If I Stay is a heartachingly beautiful book about the power of love, the true meaning of family, and the choices we all make.

Anna Dressed in Blood and Girl of Nightmares: Review

*If you haven't read any of this books, this post may contain spoilers*

Anna dressed in blood synopsis: Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. They follow legends and local lore, destroy the murderous dead, and keep pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
Searching for a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas expects the usual: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
Yet she spares Cas's life.

Goodreads Review (Feb 23, 14): This was the first horror book I've read and it couldn't have been better. I just LOVED it. The book was so well written and all the horror and the mistery were amazing. I had no idea what was about to happen while reading it and that's why it was so good. All the ghosts and the killings were so awesome and the fact that it shows what their motivations were, the fact that we could understand the Why makes this book a LOT better. I absolutely loved Anna. I loved how badass she was, and her 2 appearances were amazing. I just loved how Cas allways called her My Anna, my goddess, their relationship was soooo beautiful that it actually made me blush and cry. I loved reading this and now I have to get the next one because I'm not done with Anna and Cas yet. 5*

Girl of Nightmares synopsis: It's been months since the ghost of Anna Korlov opened a door to Hell in her basement and disappeared into it, but ghost-hunter Cas Lowood can't move on.
His friends remind him that Anna sacrificed herself so that Cas could live—not walk around half dead. He knows they're right, but in Cas's eyes, no living girl he meets can compare to the dead girl he fell in love with.
Now he's seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he's asleep and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong...these aren't just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears.
Cas doesn't know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn't deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it's time for him to return the favor.

Review:

First of all I have to say I absolutely love the covers of this duology. They fit the story just perfectly.

These were the first horror books I've ever read, and I just loved Anna dressed in Blood and after the end of that book I was super eager to continue the story.

And Girl of Nightmares was beyond my expectations. I loved this book so freaking much and Kendare simply blew my mind.

The action in this book was absolutely awesome and terrifying!! Yes, I'm talking about the suicide forest (I just got the chills thinking about it). I'm a girl who loves watching horror movies but still gets completly frightened about most of them, and reading this book in the dark completly home alone is not a good idea, I repeat, IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

I missed Anna quite a lot in this book, the visions Cas had of her were pretty creepy but I still wanted more. However,I loved the relationship between Cas, Thomas and Carmel in this book; they were just funny, perfect and interesting all together and Kendare did an awesome job showing us that.

I think the change of scenery from Canada to London and The Scottish Highlands was a brilliant idea. I loved all the creepy stories we were shown and told about London, and I loved getting to know everything about the Athame, the Order of Bla bla bla Biodag Dubh and Cas's role in it and all about his father.

One of the things I love about this duology are the references of several movies and actors I'm complety crazy about. For example:

“Every time I question him about the feasibility, he smiles at me like he's Yoda and I'm just a dumbass without the Force.”

Now the ending. Let's talk about that ending... I never thought I was going to cry in this book, but that happened. Kendare Blake made me cry like a baby at 1am in the morning. That last conversation between Cas and Anna was just beautiful and so painful *starts sobbing*

“What?" she asks, but I don't answer. Instead I kiss her, one time, and try to tell her in that single gesture everything that she'll forget as soon as she turns away. I tell her I love her. I tell her I'll miss her. And then I let her go.”

I loved everything about this book, about this duology. Probably these are going to be two of my favourite reads this year and I recommend it 100000%

Ignite Me, Shatter Me trilogy: Review

*If you haven't read any of the books in the Shatter Me trilogy this post contains spoilers*

Synopsis: With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn’t know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won’t keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that’s not all he wants with her.

First of all: These covers!!! This trilogy has my favorite art design of all time.

Second: I can’t believe this is over, I’m gonna miss this trilogy so much it hurts. Really hurts. I’ve read the last page crying because omg the feels.

Now, I’M SO HAPPY! This book made me so happy I don’t even know. Let’s just start by saying that Ignite Me was the best book of this trilogy, no doubt. The characters were even more perfect in this book, I actually loved everyone (except for Anderson and Adam).

I’ve always loved Kenji, but in this book I was so satisfied and utterly happy about his relationship with Juliette I just !!!!! I laughed so so so so much while reading it, and Kenji was just perfect.
Moving on to one of my newest favorite book characters of all time: Warner. Aaron Warner. Aaron Warner Anderson. WARNER WARNER WARNER WARNER (sorry about that). OMG, in Shatter Me I was seriously so pissed off about his character, but then I read Unravel Me and Ignite Me, and my heart almost died with all the love I felt for Warner. He’s just perfect. Ahhh the feels.
When I started reading Ignite Me, the first time Juliette said something about Adam I was just like who the fuck cares about Adam (sorry not sorry). You can hate me, but it is not a good time to still be Team Adam..
Every time Juliette was with Kenji I couldn’t stop smiling. And every time she was with Warner my heart just melt and I seriously couldn’t stop grinning.

Ok, so at first in Shatter Me and Unravel Me I was just so frustrated by Juliette, because as Warner said she was really being a child, and see her growth in Ignite Me was so good, I really loved that aspect of the book, and now I can really see what Tahereh was trying to do.
The development between Warner and Juliette was for me one of the things that made this book brilliant (Chapter 55 oh my); They’re relationship was so cute and perfect and funny and amazing and I’m gonna miss it so much..

The writing in this trilogy is just absolutely brilliant, it’s almost like poetry and you just feel everything. In Ignite Me there were so many quotes and so many thoughts that made this book so much better than the other two. Tahereh Mafi amazed me.
Although I love this trilogy, I just can’t help but feel that we need more. We need to know more. I mean I could totally read another 3 books about this I seriously do not mind at all, what do you think Tahereh? *winks winks*

Nevertheless, the end of this book was truly beautiful. These characters are always going to be in my heart and I’m going to miss them so much my heart is so full of love it feels like is going to explode – ah Warneeeeer.
Once again Tahereh Mafi amazed me, and it’s fair enough to say that this is one of my favorite books so far.

Top Quotes:

“His hands are holding my cheeks, and he pulls back just to look me in the eye and his chest is heaving and he says, "I think," he says, "my heart is going to explode," and I wish, more than ever, that I knew how to capture moments like these and revisit them forever.
Because this.
This is everything.”

“I promise myself then, in that moment, that I will hold him forever, just like this, until all the pain and torture and suffering is gone, until he's given a chance to live the kind of life where no one can wound him this deeply ever again.”

“I'm not trying to fix you; I don't think you need to be fixed. I'm not trying to turn you into someone else. I only want you to be who you already are. Because I think I know the real you. I think I've seen him."
Warner says nothing, his chest rising and falling.
"I don't care what anyone else says about you," I tell him. "I think you're a good person.”

“Three forty-five-pound plates on each side of what Kenji told me is an Olympic bar, which weighs an additional forty-five pounds. I can't stop staring. I don't think that I've ever been more attracted to him in all the time I've known him."
"So this gets you going, huh?"
...
"I've never seen him in sweatpants before..."
...
"I bet you've seen him in a lot less.”

“Hey--jazz hands!" Kenji barks. "Get your ass back over here." He makes it a point to look as irritated as possible. "Back to work. And this time, focus. You're not an ape. Don't just throw your shit everywhere.”

It's the kind of kiss that inspires stars to climb into the sky and light up the world. The kind that takes forever and no time at all. ”

Birthday madness: Union J. and Emblem 3 concert

I officially turned 17 this sunday (April 6th)!! And because of my beautiful friends I was able to go to the Union J. and Emblem 3 concert! And it was absolutely amazing.

I'm the girl on the top

As you can see, I made a poster saying it was my bday and also (yes, you are reading correctly) me and my friend decided it would be fun to write Ps: We have vodcka.

And hey! It worked! JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley from Union J. pointed at me and actually sent me a kiss. It's accurate enough to say I almost died.

The concert was trully amazing and they were all soooooo much hotter in person. Just saying.

ps: I did not take the last 2 pictures.

‘City Of Heavenly Fire’

Cassandra Clare has released a picture drawn by Cassandra Jean from her City of Heavenly Fire post card set.
According to Page to Premiere website, the writer felt bad about being “unforthcoming with spoilers”, so she grated us Shadowhunters a visual of a steamy scene between Clary and Jace!!!

OMG I can't breathe right now! We were all needing something more and this is just amazing. What do you guys think? I can't wait any longer for this book!!

*The book comes out in May*

2/3. Unravel me and Ignite me, by Tahereh Mafi. These are the second and third book of the Shatter Me trilogy.

Shatter me Synopsis: Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days. The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now. Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior

4. Me and Earl and the dying girl, by Jesse Andrews.

Rachel has been diagnosed with leukemia—-cue extreme adolescent awkwardness—-but a parental mandate has been issued and must be obeyed. When Rachel stops treatment, Greg and Earl decide the thing to do is to make a film for her, which turns into the Worst Film Ever Made and becomes a turning point in each of their lives. And all at once Greg must abandon invisibility and stand in the spotlight.

5/6. Evermore (#1) and Blue Moon(#2) from the Immortals series, by Alyson Noel. These are the portuguese editions which my friend lent me.

Evermore Synopsis: After a horrible accident claims the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever Bloom can see people's auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone's entire life story by touching them. Damen is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy. He's the only one who can silence the noise and random energy in her head - wielding a magic so intense, it's as though he can peer straight into her soul. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she's left with more questions than answers. And she has no idea just who he really is - or what he is. The only thing she knows to be true is that she's falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.

Pandemonium: Small review

*Contains Spoilers*

Pandemonium is the continuation of Lena's story after the huge cliffhanger of its precedent, Delirium. I was trying to look for answers in this book, the major one being, "What happened to Alex?"
However, this book didn't answer any of it.

It's not that I dind't like it, because in fact I really enjoyed this book, but just the mere thought of not having my favourite character in the entire book killed me.

In Pandemonium, Lauren Oliver gives us a new writing style: We are given alternating glimpses of THEN as in Lena's life after crossing the fence and NOW which deals with the present situation - a new and stronger Lena, who is oficially part of the Resistance.

Once again Lauren Oliver's writing style amazed me. She is truly an incredible and talented writer, and one of the things that kept me through this book were simply the way how she presents her words.

“Grief is like sinking, like being buried. I am in water tawny color of kicked up dirt Every breath is full of choking. there is nothing to hold on to, no sides, no way to claw myself up. there is nothing left to do but let go.”

We are introduced to several new characters, but there's one who stands out: Julian. And at first, I refused the idea that Lena could be with anyone else that was not Alex, but I had to give in, and eventually I started to care for Julian's character. You either love him or you hate him. Now you choose.

“Love, the deadliest of all deadly things.
It kills you.
Alex.
When you have it.
Alex.
And when you don't.
Alex.”

As I said at first, none of questions were answered in this book, instead I ended it with more. I didn't put this book down at all, honestly it was mostly because I was so eager to know what happend to Alex (again), and then I got to the last page, to the last word and BOOOM. My world went down. I seriously cried just because of that page.

Are you wondering if it is really worth reading? Yes.

Teen Wolf: Season finale!

*if you haven't seen it, this post contains spoilers*

Last one!
I have to say, after last week's episode I was extremely nervous to see this. I sarted watching this episode crying and fininshed it crying. It had me on the edge all the time. It was serioulsy a great hell of a way to end this season.

Moments recap: Right at the beginning when Isaac and Mr. Argent aka Allison's father hug.. like seriously? If you wanted to see me cry, well there you go, that was more than enough.
I have to say, Dark Styles was so messed up and a complete badass at the same time, I just can't

- *boom* ovaries explode

- Styles seemed like he grew a lot in this episode, as well as Scott. And the action scenes were so so so good. I was finally starting to care for the twins (yep I didni't like them much), and then another explotion. Another death.

- crying crying crying crying crying.. It was so sad, I was sobbing like a crazy, and when Aiden asked if it was hurting Ethan has much as it was hurting him I just.. uncontrollably sobbing and lies on the floor screaming.

. Plus Kate? Really? KATE? AGAIN? Ok, I'll handle this later. And I guess Malia is going to stay for a while.. hum.. what do you guys think about that?

Overall, this episode was trully something and I can't wait 3 more months! Pleasee make the time go by faster xx

The Giver & The Maze Runner

In this post I'm goingo to share with my thougths on The Giver and The Maze Runner trailers that came out last week! I've read both of the books so I was serioulsy eager and nervous to see the first footage.

- The Giver

Book synopsis: Jonas' world is perfect. Everything is under control. There is no war or fear or pain. There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the Community. When Jonas turns twelve, he is singled out to receive special training from The Giver. The Giver alone holds the memories of the true pain and pleasure of life. Now, it is time for Jonas to receive the truth. There is no turning back.

After watching this my first thought was: What about the black & white world? I mean, I always thought we would all understand the story way better if there was only color after Jonas receives the fisrt memories. And he receives the memories from lying down and the giver putting his hands on Jonas's back. Plus it's not injections, it's pills! And the fact that Jonas's 17 and not 12? (we already knew that but still).  I was not ok with any of this, but this is a book to movie adaptation and those are never perfect *coughs*except catching fire*coughs*, and I couldn't possibly understant the movie industry the way professionals do. So we just have to wait, and wait, and see if the movie's going to really burn the book or not.

- The Maze Runner

Book synopsis: "If you ain't scared, you ain't human." When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He's surrounded by strangers--boys whose memories are also gone. Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It's the only way out--and no one's ever made it through alive. Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying.

I love everything about this trailer! We waited so long but it was worth it. *Omg Dylan*. I couldn't be anymore pleased with this, I think they did a really great job.  I absolutely loved when Thomas arrived to the Glades - it was intense. And the Maze looks just beyond awesome. The boys' language is there, the terrifying monsters are there, Thomas Brodie-Sangster's accent is there (yeyyyy for this), the intensity and the seriousness of the book is there, nothing's missing. The final scene when Thomas gets out to the Maze at the last second is just amazing. I can't wait to see the movie! Only 6 more months greenies!

Sunday quote

“People themselves are full of tunnels: winding, dark spaces and caverns; impossible to know all the places inside of them. Impossible even to imagine.” - Lauren Oliver, Pandemonium

The 100 Episode #1 review

I just finished watching the first episode of a new CW series: The 100

IMDB Synopsis: Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, when a spaceship housing humanity's lone survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet.

- I couldn't resist wacthing a new sci-fi TV show with such an awesome concept. Basically all humankind that survided the nuclear apocalypse is living on outer space, with brutal rules (such as: it isn't allowed to have more than 1 child; all crimes commited by a citizen under 18 will be punished with prision and over 18 will be punished with execution), and when everything goes south because there isn't enough suplies for all population to survive, they decide to send the 100 juvenile delinquents to Earth.

- They arrive there with no food, no water, no medical supplies, nada. So how will they survive? And who will rule them? They are all deliquents, right? So most of them crave only for power without caring about the consequences.
- Finally some of them decide to go and find supplies and encounter multiple strange threats: a deer with 2 heads and even a huge water snake who happens to like the taste of human skin. hum....
- And that ending? WHAT WAS THAT?

The main characters seem awesome and very unique, and this episode sure got me interested. Can't wait to see what happens next!
