Pandemonium: Small review

*Contains Spoilers*

Pandemonium is the continuation of Lena's story after the huge cliffhanger of its precedent, Delirium. I was trying to look for answers in this book, the major one being, "What happened to Alex?"
However, this book didn't answer any of it.

It's not that I dind't like it, because in fact I really enjoyed this book, but just the mere thought of not having my favourite character in the entire book killed me.

In Pandemonium, Lauren Oliver gives us a new writing style: We are given alternating glimpses of THEN as in Lena's life after crossing the fence and NOW which deals with the present situation - a new and stronger Lena, who is oficially part of the Resistance.

Once again Lauren Oliver's writing style amazed me. She is truly an incredible and talented writer, and one of the things that kept me through this book were simply the way how she presents her words.

“Grief is like sinking, like being buried. I am in water tawny color of kicked up dirt Every breath is full of choking. there is nothing to hold on to, no sides, no way to claw myself up. there is nothing left to do but let go.”

We are introduced to several new characters, but there's one who stands out: Julian. And at first, I refused the idea that Lena could be with anyone else that was not Alex, but I had to give in, and eventually I started to care for Julian's character. You either love him or you hate him. Now you choose.

“Love, the deadliest of all deadly things.
It kills you.
Alex.
When you have it.
Alex.
And when you don't.
Alex.”

As I said at first, none of questions were answered in this book, instead I ended it with more. I didn't put this book down at all, honestly it was mostly because I was so eager to know what happend to Alex (again), and then I got to the last page, to the last word and BOOOM. My world went down. I seriously cried just because of that page.

Are you wondering if it is really worth reading? Yes.

Teen Wolf: Season finale!

*if you haven't seen it, this post contains spoilers*

Last one!
I have to say, after last week's episode I was extremely nervous to see this. I sarted watching this episode crying and fininshed it crying. It had me on the edge all the time. It was serioulsy a great hell of a way to end this season.

Moments recap: Right at the beginning when Isaac and Mr. Argent aka Allison's father hug.. like seriously? If you wanted to see me cry, well there you go, that was more than enough.
I have to say, Dark Styles was so messed up and a complete badass at the same time, I just can't

- *boom* ovaries explode

- Styles seemed like he grew a lot in this episode, as well as Scott. And the action scenes were so so so good. I was finally starting to care for the twins (yep I didni't like them much), and then another explotion. Another death.

- crying crying crying crying crying.. It was so sad, I was sobbing like a crazy, and when Aiden asked if it was hurting Ethan has much as it was hurting him I just.. uncontrollably sobbing and lies on the floor screaming.

. Plus Kate? Really? KATE? AGAIN? Ok, I'll handle this later. And I guess Malia is going to stay for a while.. hum.. what do you guys think about that?

Overall, this episode was trully something and I can't wait 3 more months! Pleasee make the time go by faster xx

The Giver & The Maze Runner

In this post I'm goingo to share with my thougths on The Giver and The Maze Runner trailers that came out last week! I've read both of the books so I was serioulsy eager and nervous to see the first footage.

- The Giver

Book synopsis: Jonas' world is perfect. Everything is under control. There is no war or fear or pain. There are no choices. Every person is assigned a role in the Community. When Jonas turns twelve, he is singled out to receive special training from The Giver. The Giver alone holds the memories of the true pain and pleasure of life. Now, it is time for Jonas to receive the truth. There is no turning back.

After watching this my first thought was: What about the black & white world? I mean, I always thought we would all understand the story way better if there was only color after Jonas receives the fisrt memories. And he receives the memories from lying down and the giver putting his hands on Jonas's back. Plus it's not injections, it's pills! And the fact that Jonas's 17 and not 12? (we already knew that but still).  I was not ok with any of this, but this is a book to movie adaptation and those are never perfect *coughs*except catching fire*coughs*, and I couldn't possibly understant the movie industry the way professionals do. So we just have to wait, and wait, and see if the movie's going to really burn the book or not.

- The Maze Runner

Book synopsis: "If you ain't scared, you ain't human." When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He's surrounded by strangers--boys whose memories are also gone. Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It's the only way out--and no one's ever made it through alive. Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying.

I love everything about this trailer! We waited so long but it was worth it. *Omg Dylan*. I couldn't be anymore pleased with this, I think they did a really great job.  I absolutely loved when Thomas arrived to the Glades - it was intense. And the Maze looks just beyond awesome. The boys' language is there, the terrifying monsters are there, Thomas Brodie-Sangster's accent is there (yeyyyy for this), the intensity and the seriousness of the book is there, nothing's missing. The final scene when Thomas gets out to the Maze at the last second is just amazing. I can't wait to see the movie! Only 6 more months greenies!

Sunday quote

“People themselves are full of tunnels: winding, dark spaces and caverns; impossible to know all the places inside of them. Impossible even to imagine.” - Lauren Oliver, Pandemonium

The 100 Episode #1 review

I just finished watching the first episode of a new CW series: The 100

IMDB Synopsis: Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, when a spaceship housing humanity's lone survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet.

- I couldn't resist wacthing a new sci-fi TV show with such an awesome concept. Basically all humankind that survided the nuclear apocalypse is living on outer space, with brutal rules (such as: it isn't allowed to have more than 1 child; all crimes commited by a citizen under 18 will be punished with prision and over 18 will be punished with execution), and when everything goes south because there isn't enough suplies for all population to survive, they decide to send the 100 juvenile delinquents to Earth.

- They arrive there with no food, no water, no medical supplies, nada. So how will they survive? And who will rule them? They are all deliquents, right? So most of them crave only for power without caring about the consequences.
- Finally some of them decide to go and find supplies and encounter multiple strange threats: a deer with 2 heads and even a huge water snake who happens to like the taste of human skin. hum....
- And that ending? WHAT WAS THAT?

The main characters seem awesome and very unique, and this episode sure got me interested. Can't wait to see what happens next!
